My Family & Friends
This page would not be complete without mentioning how supportive my family and friends have been throughout this journey. From my wife, mother and brother / sister-in-law, mother-in-law and father-in-law, grandparents, sister-in-law / brother-in-law, nephews and niece, aunts / uncles and cousins, to my closest friends, coworkers, college roommates, fraternity brothers and freepers (see below), I have truly been blessed to have so many wonderful people in my support system. I wish to thank every one of my family members and friends (even those I forgot to mention above) who continue to provide me with the support and tender loving care they've shown. You have no idea how much you've all meant to me during this difficult period of my life.

Maggie
Maggie is the black lab mix puppy we adopted from the Caroline County Animal Shelter on Saturday, March 16. Debbie and I grew up with pets and have always wanted a dog of our very own but we hesitated due to our pet allergies and the constraint a dog would inevitably have on our lives. Since my BT diagnosis though, I talked more and more about getting a dog. I felt having an animal in the house expressing unconditional love could only benefit during those times when the humans might be feeling a little melancholy. We threw caution to the wind and adopted Maggie. She's a pure joy to have around the house. To see some pictures and movies of her, click here.

AAMC Cancer Support Group
The Anne Arundel Medical Center Cancer Support Group meets the second and fourth Wednesday of each month from 6:30pm to 8:00pm in the Donner Pavilion, AAMC Medical Center, 2002 Medical Parkway, Annapolis, MD. Debbie and I have been attending their meetings since November 14, 2001. The group of people attending these meetings are extremely supportive and knowledgeable. We look forward to every meeting.

My Prayer Network
The following images are of my prayer network map. Each pin on the map represents a location where at least one person is known to be praying for me. Though it's a little hard to tell from the pictures (the white and yellow colored pins are somewhat difficult to see), there are close to 200 pins in the map. I purchased two boxes of pins each with a quantity of 100 and after the first and second session of pin pushing, there were only about 10 pins left. The images were taken with a Canon G2 digital camera. You can click an image to display it in full size.

The following states currently do not have any pins in them: Hawaii, Iowa, Maine, Montana, North Dakota, Vermont and Wyoming. If you're in any of these states and are praying for me or all brain tumor survivors, send me an email.

Free Republic Threads
Free Republic is an online, conservative, political news and discussion forum. I've been a registered member there since August 1998. My online screen name is "MrConfettiMan". My participation with the forum has slacked off in the past couple of years (for various reasons) but during the latter parts of 1998 and the early parts of 1999, I made many good friends. From time to time when one of the forum members has a need for prayers, a message is posted and the freepers (as we call ourselves) are more than happy to oblige.

The point of listing my "prayer threads" here is not to try to convince anybody to become a member of Free Republic nor to force my political views on them. (Believe it or not, I tend to disagree with many of the views expressed by freepers on the site.) Rather, the point of listing these threads here is to show my family and friends the effect my words and deeds have had on so many people across this great country. So if you like, read a couple of the threads linked below and realize the true extent of my support system since a majority of the pins in my Prayer Network Map are freepers.
